November 22, 2018 — The Gemini Full Moon arrives on Thursday at 9:39pm Pacific Time. Mercury is in retrograde, Mars in Pisces, and Jupiter just moved into Sagittarius, conjuncting the Sun. The themes now have to do with communication and expanding our minds. We have the capacity to push beyond our limited scopes, widening our viewpoints to incorporate greater knowledge and wisdom. At the same time, the planets are encouraging us to see where we’ve been wrong, releaseing dogma and divisive thinking.

As Mercury retrogrades through Sagittarius, our ideologies and philosophies are up for review. We may notice our firmly held beliefs bubbling to the surface, ready to dissolve. We are finding ways that we need to stretch our understanding, while letting go of harmful clinging.

With Jupiter conjunct the Sun, the influence of Gemini and Sagittarius is exaggerated. We could feel overstimulated now, or prone to arguments. It’s important to think before we speak, taking extra care with our words. While curiosity and adaptability are high, the shadow of these influences is rigidity and self-righteousness.

Luckily, Mars in Pisces is squaring the Moon, softening us. We might feel extra dreamy, confused, or even intoxicated now. At the same time, thoughtlessness or impracticality could lead to confrontation or harmful mistakes. But the enlightened potential is for us to release any stubbornness in our thinking. We’re opening our hearts to compassion and greater truths, while adapting our speech and perspectives to become more inclusive, yielding, and impartial.

As the Sun moves out of Scorpio, following Jupiter’s departure last week, we’re ready to emerge from our shadow work. We’re looking toward the horizon with optimism, joy, and a sense of limitless possibilities. We know that the world changes according to our perception. How are we ready to adjust our points of view so we can generate more hope and cheerfulness? How can we turn our faces toward the light, smiling as we remember that our only job is to open our hearts, no matter what? The Earth will follow suit, embracing us as we embrace ourselves and each other.

On this Gemini Full Moon, may we relax our minds and hearts, expanding our perspectives to reach greater wisdom and inclusiveness. May we lay down our arms, stepping into the bright light of joy, humor, wisdom, and truth.
