October 8, 2018 — The Libra New Moon arrives on Monday, at 8:46pm Pacific Time, offering a peak of passionate intensity. Building on previous transits, this Moon marks a fresh start around love, peace, relationships, and harmony. Libra’s ruler, Venus, has just begun to retrograde, and we’re officially entering new cycles around how we relate to one another—and how we establish healthier intimacy and connections.

Forming angles to Ceres and Neptune, we may feel especially tender and caring toward those closest to us. Things are in flux, with different aspects of our lives and selves exploding and transforming—all for the sake of restoring balance and equilibrium. We can be sure to offer each other gentle support as we undergo these rapid changes.

With the New Moon squaring Pluto, we’re experiencing deep alchemical shifts. We’re liberating from oppression, even within ourselves. Mars has just exited his shadow zone, and we’re now making room for the feminine polarity to step into greater influence. She’s claiming the power of Pluto, using it to transmute abusive dynamics and patriarchal conditioning.

Luckily, we are also be feeling more internal fortitude—more aware of what serves us and what doesn’t. With greater consciousness, we’re clarifying our intentions, and implementing strategies that will help us grow into our greatest potentials.

With Venus retrograding through Scorpio, the power of love is ready to overtake us. We have the strength to face our darkness, holding it in unconditional love and forgiveness. Our hearts can beam with compassion as we stand up against toxicity, eliminating all that we’ve outworn—harmful relationships, patterns, and structures. Our swords—our clarity and precision—are extensions of our basic goodness. The point isn’t to punish anyone or cause harm, but to slice through neurosis, abuse, and unnecessary pain. As we do this, we can hold our anger and love at once—in beautiful Libran paradox. Even our rage is wisdom, worthy of being met with curiosity and open heart. The key now is to trust ourselves, relaxing into our unfoldment. We’re rapidly shifting into higher frequencies of who we are.

On this Libra New Moon, may we step into fearless compassion and limitless strength—never weakening ourselves for others. May we feel our confidence as we upend oppressive powers, returning to love, again and again.
