November 8, 2022 — A Taurus Lunar Eclipse forms on Tuesday at 3:02am Pacific Time, closing the eclipse vortex—though eclipse season continues until the Sagittarius New Moon in two weeks. This eclipse is not for the faint of heart, falling exactly conjunct shocking Uranus and opposite the Sun and Mercury. 

Eclipses provide an opportunity to face the truth and release the past. A Lunar Eclipse is an extra potent Full Moon, helping us purify our egos, deepen our capacities for connection, and let go of what was. Falling on the North Node, this release is helping us evolve into new versions of ourselves, lives, and relationships. Truths may reveal themselves, but we can soften and allow them to shift our hearts and lives for the better. Eclipse season provides the perfect karmic soup for rapid-fire growth, speeding up our timelines and trajectories.

The Taurus-Scorpio axis is quite sexual and relational, and we may notice our hearts and yearnings bursting open as the Moon expands our capacities for desire and fulfillment. We are ready to adjust whatever has been preventing us from deepening in these ways. The planets are showing us what’s possible sexually, reminding us of the importance of intimacy and love in healing humanity.

While Taurus represents where we’re the most stubborn and stuck, Uranus gives us the chance for instant change. After all, he operates beyond the constraints of space and time—he’s the first planet in the Sun’s orbit that's invisible to the human eye. While calamity, revelations of truth, and turns of events may rock us, we can trust that they are ultimately catapulting us toward our soul’s highest potentials. 

With Mercury opposing the eclipse, we are ready for mental breakthroughs and major changes in our thoughts and communication. We might experience an increase of verbal and political activity, especially since the eclipse coincides with the Midterm Elections in the United States. The results could bring surprise, upheaval, and possibly revolts. 

But if we slow down and work with these planetary energies intentionally, we have the chance to free ourselves from mental blockages and unhealthy patterns of anxiety and attachment. We might consider writing down what we want to release and manifest, adjusting our thoughts and communication so that we don’t cause ourselves needless suffering.

What has been holding us back from our pleasure and the relationships we yearn for? What has been keeping us stuck in the past? What habits of thought have kept us needlessly suffering?

We can relax and allow for a big breakthrough, as we surrender to what is and step into a higher level of frequency and self.

On this Taurus Lunar Eclipse, may we see where we’re stuck and allow external circumstances to help us break out of our ruts, accept the truth, and release what we’ve outgrown. May we trust that any chaos or shock that arises is part of our karmic healing, helping us shed old skin and step into the next phase of our evolution.
