Meanwhile, the Full Moon on April 16 straddles the Aries-Libra axis while squaring Pluto. We must release the past, especially around relationships. We can allow ourselves to be stripped bare and face our shadowy truths. This way, we can receive the magic that’s ready to pour in.

A Total Solar Eclipse arrives in Taurus on April 30, opening the eclipse vortex, which will speed up our karmic trajectories. This occurs as Venus, planet of love, conjoins with Jupiter and Neptune. We are ready for a powerful fresh start around love and worthiness. Our hard work is beginning to pay off in spades. With many planets in Pisces by the end of the month, we might take a moment to just relax and be. We can tap into pleasure, peace, and abundance, feeling utterly deserving of the beauty of our unfoldment.

APRIL Transits 

ARIES NEW MOON

We begin the month with a touchy Aries New Moon on April 1, which forms in conjunction with Chiron, the Wounded Healer. This lunation could make us feel a little vulnerable or insecure, but we can face our pain and transform it into strength. Our hard work, both internally and externally, is beginning to reward us as we move toward greater ease and flow, brought on by the tightening of the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction, exact on April 12.

MARS CONJUNCT SATURN (SQUARE TO THE NODES)

Mars meets with Saturn on April 5, halting our action and forward momentum. Squaring the Nodes, this frustration is an important part of our spiritual growth. We may feel our goals thwarted as stumbling blocks appear that serve a karmic purpose. We can take this opportunity to slow down and sort out our problems. Since Juno is involved, these problems could include marriage and committed relationships. The best use of this energy is to get organized, clarify our intentions, and generate patience as we make gradual progress toward our long-term goals.

JUPITER CONJUNCT NEPTUNE

On April 12, Jupiter forms a conjunction with Neptune in Pisces in a rare alliance. This is the first time in 166 years that these planets have joined together in the sign that they rule, and it won’t happen again in our lifetime. Our compassion is expanding, along with the potential for peace and unity. Blessings and miracles are abundant if we’ve been doing our work. We can feel our consciousness rising up as our interconnection and faith grow. This transit can expose the best of humanity—the love that’s already present on Earth, right now, even amid any calamity or hardship.

MARS INTO PISCES

Mars moves into Pisces on April 15, joining Venus, and it’s time to put down our weapons and rest for a while. Mars is the planet of aggression and anger, while Pisces represents unconditional love, limitless expansion, and imagination. We don’t need to be productive—We can dream, create, and engage in spiritual practice instead.

LIBRA FULL MOON

The Libra Full Moon forms on April 16, with the Sun and Moon squaring transformative Pluto. We might feel a crescendo of energies swell as we confront our shadows and alchemize old wounds around self and relationships. Any pain or crises that arise, inwardly or outwardly, are here to help us become more truthful and intimate. This lunation opens eclipse season, with the first eclipse arriving in two weeks. We are entering a period of karmic compression, when events could feel particularly auspicious and aligned, helping us to release the past and step into our soul’s highest potentials.

TAURUS SOLAR ECLIPSE

The Taurus Solar Eclipse arrives on April 30, opening the eclipse vortex—a two-week period of extra intense karmic ripening. Solar Eclipses are always ramped up New Moons that bring the potential for potent new beginnings. This time, it’s especially affecting love. As the eclipse forms, Venus, planet of love and ruler of Taurus, is conjoined with Jupiter and Pisces. As blessings rain down, especially on our relationships, the potentials are amplified for new love to sprout and for healing and forgiveness to take place. With so many planets in dreamy Pisces and pleasure-loving Taurus by now, we can slow down and take time to do nothing, enjoying ourselves, our lives, and each other.

APRIL Summary

April is a month of profound relational transformation and blessings. We begin the month feeling raw and exposed, with an Aries New Moon conjunct Mercury and Chiron—planets of communication and our deepest wounding. We have the chance to move through self-doubt, making friends with it so we can emerge renewed—with genuine, more deeply rooted confidence. This month, our karma is compressing in many ways.
