August 1, 2023 — An Aquarius Full Moon arrives on Tuesday at 11:31am Pacific Time, squaring expansive Jupiter. This is the first Aquarius lunation without Saturn in same sign since 2020. We can feel the unshackling of our inner freedom as the Leo Sun warms and brightens our hearts and melts away the residue of Saturn’s brittleness.

In the background, Venus, planet of love and values, is retrograding. Old themes, dynamics, relational patterns, and self-doubt may be showing up for the sake of recalibration. We are in the process of softening into deeper intimacy, allowing ourselves to be seen for who we really are.

Aquarius is about authenticity, friendship, and community, while the Sun in Leo rules human connection and creativity. What is in the way of us expressing our authentic hearts without fear? How can we be ourselves more fully without worrying what other people think?

With Saturn opposing Mercury, we may feel mental blocks or frustrations around communication. We are truly meant to come up against ourselves right now, seeing where we are holding wounds of rejection or repressed pain around feeling excluded or not good enough, or not receiving adequate validation.

The message of this Full Moon is that we are okay as we are–safe to express our genuine hearts. We no longer need to tether our self-worth to another person’s behaviors, responses, or projections. We can remain confident and anchored into our inherent worthiness, which never falters.

The more we step into our independent confidence, feeling the courage to be exactly who we are, the more fulfilling our relationships will be. It’s time to roll up our sleeves and embrace the work that’s necessary to free ourselves from limiting pain, doubt, and hesitation. With the south node moving through Libra, there is no better time to finally heal our attachment wounds, untangling from outworn narratives of shame and fear that have kept us from realizing our true desires.

On this Aquarius Full Moon, may we shed old doubts and limitations while stepping into freer, more authentic expressions of self. May we feel confident in who we are and what we love, embracing our desires and leaping towards them with boundless courage.
