January 21, 2023 — The Aquarius New Moon arrives on Saturday in a wide conjunction to shadowy Pluto and a wide trine to Mars, which is now in direct motion. New Moons are fresh starts, and this one packs a punch. We are gaining full momentum after a long period of Mars and Mercury in retrograde, and it’s finally time to set our intentions for the New Year. 

Venus is conjunct Saturn right now, and we are committing to our values and deciding what and who is worthy of our time. Meanwhile, a sextile to expansive Jupiter is infusing us with optimism, confidence, and philosophical inspiration. Our minds could feel clearer and brighter than they have for a while as we emerge from our cocoons and adjust our eyes to daylight.

Aquarius is the sign of hopes and dreams, and on this New Moon, we can feel into the bigger picture of our trajectories and visions of the future. The deep internal work that we’ve been undergoing is ready to pay off while the frustrations of the past several years begin to melt away.

The wide conjunction of this New Moon to Pluto requires us to be extra honest with ourselves as we continue our process of deep transformation. Luckily, our hearts are beginning to tingle with possibilities of peace and greater freedom. We can trust that any difficulties that we’ve been experiencing have arrived to help us shed old skin and emerge as the next versions of ourselves.
