Aries New Moon:
Springing Forth in Tender Warriorship

March 24, 2020 — An Aries New Moon arrives on Tuesday, at 2:28am Pacific Time, tipping us further into the astrological New Year and Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. Feelings of courage, inspiration, and vitality are raising our spirits, helping us meet the challenges we are now facing in our personal lives and the world at large. After all, Aries is the Ram, who never shies away from confrontation, who takes leaps with fearless leadership, initiative, and drive.
Conjoined with Chiron, the Wounded Healer, while squaring the lunar nodes, this is a powerful New Moon. It’s helping us purify and heal old karma so we can step into our higher potentials. At the same time, Mars has joined with Pluto. Power struggles, abrupt endings, and even death could ramp up over the next two weeks. But we have what we need to face our ongoing challenges. We’ve moved out of the domain of reflective Pisces, and we’re ready to employ the Ram’s active solutions.
Aries rules trailblazing, warriorship, and even the military. With the Aries New Moon conjunct Chiron, we are applying his warlike energy toward our personal, collective, and planetary health. Aries’ usual bluster and quick temper is now offset by Chiron’s gentleness, vulnerability, and healing abilities. The planets are calling us to soften the masculine energies on the planet, transforming and transmuting our agitation, aggression, and anger, so we can help ourselves and each other.
As we undergo a massive paradigm shift in the world and prepare to enter a whole new age in humanity, the decisions we make now could affect us for a long time to come. We can apply what we’ve learned from our deep reflections, seeing what priorities need changing, and how we can reallocate our resources in kinder ways. From here, we can bound ahead in confidence, clarity, and directness. This is not the moment to hesitate or waste energy. It’s time to rise like bright green shoots from winter’s rot—which has become the mulch for new life.
On this Aries New Moon, may we channel the vitality of the Ram, confronting all that needs healing. May we leap ahead with inspiration and fearlessness, meeting our challenges head-on, taking each other’s hands as we become tender warriors.
