June 21, 2024 — A Capricorn Full Moon forms on Friday, squaring spiritual Neptune, emphasizing magic and the coziness of the solstice. Our hearts are brimming with love, connecting with the people who we feel most comfortable with. At the same time, emotions are intense and possibly overwhelming. Some fantasies or dreams are being tested, and we may need to adjust course, acknowledging what’s realistic while not giving up.

It would be wise to practice great self-care and gentleness. We can swim in the ocean, take a long bath, or eat good food. If we’re feeling strong and grounded, we can offer our care to others—expressing sympathy, love, and devotion without our usual walls blocking us or making us feel self-conscious.

Capricorn is very disciplined, and this lunation highlights whatever we’ve been focusing on and trying to build in our lives. If we’ve been feeling disillusioned, stifled, stuck, or overburdened with responsibilities, it’s time to release, reorganize, and strategize. We’re considering what new chapter we’re ready to begin, and which next steps would be practical to take.

What structures of our lives are no longer working? Where do we need to break existing commitments or make new ones?

Falling the day after the solstice, this Full Moon coincides with the turning of the light, emphasizing a shift of energies. We are learning about what home means to us and where our hearts feel a deep sense of belonging. Who makes us feel this way? Which places and people resonate most with our soul? It may be time to let go of busyness and focus more on tenderness and our deeper love and connections.

While we may be feeling extra sensitive or hard on ourselves, it’s important now to step into compassion and forgiveness. Conjuring humor and playfulness, we can remember not to take ourselves too seriously. We can take time to meditate and bask in divine light, recognizing that on some level, life isn’t as solid as it seems. As we honor our human experience, we can also lighten our touch. It’s time to rest our minds in cradles of loving kindness, invoking a quality of home within ourselves—wherever we are.

On this Capricorn Full Moon, may we determine what we’re ready to release and what we want to commit to. May we drop into our hearts and find home, both within ourselves and with people and places that make us feel like we belong.
