July 21, 2024 — A second Capricorn Full Moon forms on Sunday—the first was on June 21. This Full Moon marks an ending and a new beginning at once. The Moon will soon move into Aquarius and conjoin Pluto, planet of transformation. Karma is rising to the surface as this lunation falls on the anaretic degree of Capricorn. Pluto is currently at the beginning of Aquarius, beckoning us toward breakthrough and liberation. We are preparing to enter a new world, but we have issues that we haven’t quite resolved. It’s time to finish what we started.

Pluto, Lord of the Underworld, will return to this degree from September to November. We’re looking our demons and struggles in the eye—outworn behaviors, unhealed traumas, and painful mental loops that have held us back for too long. We’re ready to take ownership of our patterns and alchemize them.

Neptune is also at the anoretic degree but of Pisces, the last sign, which represents dissolution. Much is falling apart, and we may feel rudderless or lost at sea. This Full Moon is calling us to find our bearings and meet this moment with discipline and determination.

Luckily, Neptune and Mars form harmonious trines with the Full Moon, helping us soften the drama and edginess of any abrupt changes brought on when the planet of war crossed Uranus a week ago. This is a beautiful time to forgive ourselves and others. We can become more deliberate and intentional in our relationships, releasing conflict, entanglements, or cycles that no longer serve us as we prepare for our next steps.

We now know what we want to commit to. Our paths are beginning to clarify—at least for now. It’s time to look at the bigger picture and conclude issues, even if it requires great effort, planning, and finagling. This is not the time to shy away from the work we need to do in order to elevate our lives on every level.

On this Capricorn Full Moon, may we release the past and embrace the hard work necessary to build the next iteration of our lives. May we feel deep commitment to our new trajectories as we dedicate ourselves to shifting patterns, with the promise of epic change inspiring us to carry on.
