LEO FULL MOON + VENUS CONJUNCT MARS:
CLARIFYING OUR HEARTS

February 16, 2022 — The Leo Full Moon forms today as Venus and Mars form an exact conjunction in Capricorn. We can find relief as the Full Moon cleanses our heart, helping us release its blockages. An exact quincunx to Pluto is helping us purge old traumas and patterns. Now, we can feel more confident, creative, expressive, generous and loving.

What has kept us from healthy love?

We’re offering any hurts and fears to the fires of transmutation.

In the background, Venus and Mars, planets of passions and desire, unite until early April. Falling in Capricorn, they’re helping us to become more honest, realistic, and mature in our visions of love. We can commit to people and projects with discernment and intention, while letting go of harmful fantasies and unrealistic expectations. We're acknowledging our feelings, owning our projections, and setting boundaries when necessary. At the same time, we’re learning to temper our outrageous passions, jealousies, and flared egos.

We’ve just wrapped up Venus' retrograde cycle, which began in late December and lasted through January, sparking a period of reevaluation so we could determine what’s most important to us. We’ve reflected on our priorities and taken inventory of old relationship patterns, determining what and who we want to commit to. Now, Mars is calling us into action.

This isn’t a time of fleeting whims and losing patience. We’re ready to stick with something and see it through—with intention and self-awareness. As Mars and Venus hold hands for nearly two months, we can begin the task of building our desires into reality. Capricorn’s influence is encouraging us to do the hard work, persevering in attaining what we want—making plans and placing one foot in front of the other until we carry them out.

What do we desire in the realms of relationships, family, artistic pursuits, career?

We can look toward the future with new purpose. It’s time to carve our paths forward, trusting that our hard work and resilience will lead us to the peaks that we envision. Calling in our desires is more possible than ever as the planets imbue us with greater maturity, pragmatism, and creative drive.
