October 2, 2024 — A Libra New Moon Solar Eclipse arrives on Wednesday, falling on the south node of the Moon. This means we must experience a major release in order to begin a fresh chapter. Libra rules love, peace, finances, and relationships, which are the focus of this eclipse. We may notice old themes and unhealthy patterns bubbling to the surface, in need of transformation. Conjoining Mercury while squaring Mars in Cancer, difficult but productive conversations could arise that help us step into new alignments.

With a Grand Water Trine forming between Venus, Mars, and Saturn, we are facing our feelings while applying morality, responsibility, and healthy boundaries. We’re voicing our truth, renegotiating agreements, and embodying more confident autonomy—healing some of our attachment wounding in the process.

Venus is in Scorpio, bringing us into honesty, intimacy, and our deepest yearnings. With Black Moon Lilith tightly conjoining this eclipse, the Great No of the feminine is reverberating through the planet, demanding justice and decency. We’re learning to be bold and forthcoming while at the same time compassionate—finding the balance between pointed truth and empathy.

In the end, our relationships can drastically improve if we’re willing to be emotionally courageous and vulnerable. In two weeks, the Aries Full Moon will help us release old anger and duke out whatever we’re still brushing under the rug. The more we own our mistakes, come home to ourselves, and break patterns of codependence, the easier the next lunation will be.

On this Libra Solar Eclipse, may we be honest with ourselves and each other. May we feel brave enough to release what no longer serves us and renegotiate our agreements so they align with our higher selves.
