You belong here. You are one of the warriors in this world, so even if unexpected things happen, good or bad, right or wrong, you don’t exaggerate them. You come back to your seat in the saddle and maintain your posture in the situation….

Someone might ask, 'How do we know you won’t overreact to this situation?' You can say,  'Just watch my posture in the saddle.'

Chögyam Trunpga Rinpoche, Smile at Fear

June 28, 2016 — After three months of Mars Retrograde brimming with increasing intensity, tomorrow he stations direct, allowing us to catch our breath and finally orient towards the future. We have been facing some major tests around anger, masculinity, and warriorship, and we've examined our exaggerated reactions, stemming from fear and aggression. These uncomfortable lessons have caused many of us to flounder, feeling stuck in discomfort, at times wondering if we have the strength to carry on. In his final moments in retrograde, Mars is drawing the last of our hidden issues to the surface, challenging us to take our seats within our heart centers. We must not cower as we dive into chaos and face the unknown with unflinching confidence. In doing so, we will finally grow into the impenetrable power of our own light and goodness.

In due form, the end of Mars Retrograde has been heralding worldwide explosions—of fear, strife, misconceptions, and illusions. In the wake of this chaos, it is up to each of us to balance power with humility, compassion with clarity, and become kings and queens of goodness and sanity. From here, others may find strength from our orbits, as we emanate little worlds of light.

This is the time for each of us to take responsibility for ourselves and recognize the true power that we possess if we are not seduced by aggression and materialism. As we move forward, we may now gain better insight into the futility of blame and exaggerated responses. We may find the courage to feel fully whatever arises, then let go without spinning stories that prolong our suffering.

This chaos is all part of the process of building a new era. In the Age of Materialism, the foundation has been faulty, and selfishness, greed, fear, grasping, and ego have sullied our collective well. We are now destroying the very foundation on which we have built entire societies and political systems, and if we stay in our seats and work with our fear of the unknown, we will see that we are now facing a beautiful opportunity to create something from scratch—within ourselves, our communities, and humanity. It's revolution time.
