A pause to reflect

February 17-March 9

Mercury stations retrograde in Pisces on February 17, conjunct otherworldly Neptune, the ruler of Pisces. With so much information and chatter swirling about, we have the chance now to pause and reflect, stilling our intellectual minds so we can remember our peace, love, creativity, and connection to the divine.

This is a good period to look back and revisit old relationships and communications that have gone awry. We can release any anguish we still feel from past messiness and misunderstandings. It’s okay if situations are imperfect, unresolved, or riddled with mistakes. We are human, after all. We can forgive ourselves—receiving the wisdom of Pisces, which is absolute acceptance.

As Mercury retrograde begins, Mars, planet of exertion that catapults us forward, moves into steady Capricorn. We can now test reality and choose our next steps wisely.  Even if we feel confused or uncertain, we have a strong anchor to help us test reality and grant us perseverance. This isn't time to give up, but to give ourselves a break from urgency as we find better footing. Relaxing and flowing, we can surrender to our unfoldment. Whatever happens in the world, we are capable of grounding, quieting our minds, and opening our hearts. In the end, these are our most important tasks.

If the chaos of the world teaches us nothing else, it can be this: we are okay exactly as we are. We are lovable, worthy, forgivable, and divine. May the ocean of Mercury retrograde lead us to this understanding, with bliss and with ease.
