Happy Spring Equinox!
The Sun is moving into Aries on March 19, 2016, marking the beginning of Spring and the Astrological New Year. We have been stewing in Pisces for the past month, and things have not been easy. This has been a period of endings and closure, and we've likely had trouble getting out of bed, and out of the dream realm. We've been merging with the heavenly realms, and perhaps looking for escape through our various addictions. However, today we have a Fire Trine while the Sun moves into Aries, jolting us into the freshness of Spring, action, and new beginnings. It’s time to wake up. The planets are moving us into warriorship and into our bodies, helping us to embody the spiritual lessons of the past month.
With the Lunar Eclipse on March 23, 2016, the Sun and Moon will be along the Aries-Libra axis, which represents the self vs. other. Forming a conjunction with Chiron, this Eclipse is a big one, bringing closure to the journey of the past six months—healing ourselves so we may better show up in relationships. The energy of March has supported this journey, helping us to wrap up old wounds, to surrender unhealthy relationships, and to move on if the change we have yearned for just isn't happening. This Eclipse will cement those closures, and help us to better launch into the new beginnings of Spring and of action-oriented Aries.
Whatever happens, we must release attachment to all of it—to the victim mentality of Pisces, to our addictions and escapism, and even to the deliciousness of new love and the impulsivity of Aries. As always, our job is to return constantly to the non-conceptual state of being present in our hearts. If we accomplish this, then we will understand these fundamental Truths: that there is no good or bad, and that each situation, circumstance, and feeling is an opportunity to awaken fully to 'what is.'
Go outside and enjoy the beauty of nature, or at least take a moment to look at the sky. We are opening a new chapter, and it’s time to embrace the pain of rebirth as we grow into our new selves.
